Norman Fucking Rockwell! is the sixth studio album by Lana Del Rey, released on August 30, 2019, via Interscope and Polydor Records.
It features a soft rock sound with psych-rock songs and piano ballads, and includes references to various classic rock artists. The title is a nod to painter and illustrator Norman Rockwell.
To promote the album, five singles were released: "Mariners Apartment Complex", "Venice Bitch", "hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have - but i have it", "Doin' Time" and "The greatest". Del Rey supported the album with her fifth concert tour, The Norman Fucking Rockwell! Tour, which ran from September 21 to November 30, 2019.
The album was met with widespread acclaim, with critics praising its poetic and refined lyricism, production, and Del Rey's musical evolution. It achieved significant commercial success, reaching number one in seven countries, including the United Kingdom, where it became Del Rey's fourth number one album. In the United States, it peaked at number three, marking her fifth consecutive top five album in the country. Norman Fucking Rockwell! was nominated for Album of the Year at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards and was frequently listed as the best album of the year by numerous publications. It is regarded as one of the greatest and most revered albums of the decade and of all time, with Rolling Stone including it in their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
