For me, it's formula was very similar to the last two albums, but the way it sounds with a more minimalistic production kind of makes it feel closer to early 2000's albums.

I have to listen to it more, but they for sure have a pretty set formula right now. Still, I’m glad to have more MDB in the world.

The-Riot-Before
On my first listen of thr new album and I'm enjoying it quite a bit, in part because of a situation I'm currently going through. I wasn't sold on the last one, so it's nice for this one to resonate with me emotionally.

Diarrheadache
I've listened their full albums in chronological order and I can say that MDB really are devoted to their style and aesthetics. Yet it surprises me that some of their ideas circle and I don't mean that the ideas ran out but what makes all their albums relatable time after time. Comfortabily I can say that MBD never let me down.

Partly yes but also I belief that they do what they want to do Via not being label marionettes

The-Riot-Before
I have a thought so bear with me but I'm not sure his bride was ever truly dying? Think about it for a second. It doesn't really claim to have a dying bride for this long. It sounds like the bride was fine the entire time and this was just a cry for attention. Maybe a dramatic way to say that his bride is alive and like all living people is technically in the process of dying? Just a thought 🤔

I'm listening to them, and specifically The Dreadful Hours, for the first time in quite a while right now. It really is such a good album.

Where were the heartwrenching melodies? This album sounded just fine. It was nice to listen to while doing other things, but the music itself was kind of uninspired it seems. It has been quite a long time since I've really dove into MDB, but I think it's time again!

Ghost of Orion is good. I enjoy it. 'The Long Black Land' is it's masterpiece.
