Beta Play visit Last.fm to perform tracks from their debut EP
Last.fm alumni Tommy & The High Pilots have undergone a bit of a make over since they wowed us with this 2013 acoustic session - dropping their old name in favour of Beta Play. To assist in their rebirth, the band have once again turned to the aid of Pledge Music to help launch their debut EP. Thanks to the overwhelming support of their fans, Beta Play have already soared past their funding goal. Hit play above to get caught up with Matt, Michael, Mike and Tommy.
Evolving from Tommy and The High Pilots:
While in the midst a cross-country trek to re-introduce themselves to fans, the band returned to our NYC studio to test out stripped-down arrangements of three new tracks.
We're pretty excited about these next two. Much like "Electric 22" each of these new tunes reveals a little bit more about what makes Beta Play tick. Below you can hear them stand up for what's right on "Heaven Is Under The Sun," and riff about where the music comes from on "The Way We Play."
